What do we value in our built environment?

How do we know what to protect if we don’t know what we value? Here are some of our special buildings - what else should we add to this list.

  • The Abbey, Abbey Square

The Abbey was built as a hotel in , since then it has been a children’s home and a care home.

Our community would like it to continue to play a part in supporting older residents. We are still working with Westmorland and Furness Council to turn this dream into a reality..

  • Saint James' Church, Kentmere Road

  • Eagle and Child

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
